Colton House has won a Highly Commended Award in the Sustainable Tourism category at the prestigious National VisitEngland Awards at Blackpool in March 2016 in a glittering award ceremony.

The highly commended award is a considerable achievement and recognises Excellence in Tourism in England. This is the third consecutive time that Colton House was presented with a Highly Commended Award. Having won in 2014, 2015 and now 2016.

Commenting on the award Sally Balcome, VistEngland’s Chief Executive said “It is a great achievement to win a Highly Commended Award in a field of very high quality applications. The award places Colton House in the top four businesses for excellence in the category in England. I warmly congratulate them on this achievement.”

Speaking on behalf of Colton House, Ron Lawrence said “that he is delighted that the way we live our lives, run our business, work with the community, use local businesses and push the boundaries of sustainability, had been recognised. To be able to do this once is a wonderful achievement and for three years shows great perseverance and commitment to a sustainable way of living”.
