“We are thrilled to win such an impressive accolade as Best B&B in England and even more delighted to win a second award for our sustainability. Hundreds of businesses enter the awards, so to be picked out of such a large number and high standard of businesses is really overwhelming.”
The beautifully restored Georgian, Grade II* listed house has been owned by the Lawrence family since 1977 and has been run as a B&B for the last 10 years. The family originally opened with just 2 letting rooms, but due to high demand, they decided to refurbish and renovate the house over the years, giving a total of 11 luxury en-suite rooms.
Ron and Gay continued:
“We pride ourselves in giving each of our guests a personalised experience, tailoring their stay to meet their individual needs. We offer as many choices as possible, to create a ‘home from home’ feeling. So whether they’d prefer foam or feather pillows; duvets or blankets on their bed to what they would like for breakfast… we try to meet all our guests’ requirements, to give them the best stay possible.”
Indeed it is this personal service and aim to please that has won them so many awards over the years, including The Best Breakfast from Enjoy Staffordshire. The B&B says they use delicious local produce for their breakfasts and evening meals and use many vegetables picked straight from their garden.
